Flit Vale Local Group

The Flit Vale group is based in mid-Bedfordshire and is run by a committee of wildlife enthusiasts who are delighted to be supporting BCN WLT.  The group welcomes all who are interested in natural history and the local flora and fauna in particular.

Group description and history

The Flit Vale local group, formed in October of 2008, draws its membership from the Toddington, Flitwick and Ampthill area and has a mission to promote the wider understanding, appreciation and conservation of all forms of wildlife in the Flit Vale area by:

  • Organising guided walks around local wildlife sites
  • Arranging talks by local experts on wildlife topics
  • Encouraging the participation of local people of all ages in the above, and in other related activities including volunteering and wildlife watch groups

Description of group activities

Walks and talks on a range of nature-themed topics held throughout the year.

How to get involved

Anyone who is interested in wildlife is very welcome to come to any of our events and talks. We have a range of walks and talks which we hope are appealing and interesting. You would be supporting your local Wildlife Trust. You do not have to be a WLT member of come along but, obviously, we hope you will join!
